"Do not forget that the armed forces are the servants of the people and you do not make national policy; it is we, the civilians, who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted”.
Quaid-e-Azam to Armed Forces; Aug 14, 1947
Is our army really following the path shown to it by our leader or has it set its own directions?????

You've started your blog from "Ershad -e- Quaid " about Army .... Role of Army in Pakistan sometimes make us to leave dinning table in distress but we should never 4get that presence of army on the political scene of our country has always been the outcome of intrigues of political parties ... REMEMBER their political immaturity was not due to Army .... You know dear friend I believe that as a nation we know nothing... We have never been told the truth ... I don't know what happens inside Aiwan-e-sadar , PM House , GHQ , Raiwind , 70 clifton n so on... We even don't know what exactly happened inside Jamia Hafsa though we did not sleep for 8-9 full days to monitor what was happening with the sharp eye of camera... This country is of 20 families ..thats it... Hum un ki jagger hain :(
uff pehli post pae hee udas kar diya aap ne tu... aaj tu khushi ka din thaa..
Khair Keep Blogging!!!
Keep writing posts for ppl like me as well hehehehe

Army Plays a very important role in country's defense. That is why Army is placed at the highest place in the world. When a person sees a soldier an affection grabs him and naturally he feels love and respect fro him. But that doesnot mean that army should play with the emotions of the people. Verily army plays an important role but only in the defense system not in the internal matters of the country.
Our Beloved Quaid-e-Azam loved and respected Army and If you know He was the one who placed army at the highest position. But he never ordered any army man to interfere in the internal matters of the country especially in the Politics. But today we see that army men are coming into politics bravely and with dictatorial behaviour. Why is this happening? It is happening because of us. We people have divided ourselves into political parties and groups. We only become happy when we see our opponents fall. If you know, when Musharraf took over the Pakistan in 1998, Nawaz sharif was deported and all the political leaders gathered on a platform and decided to support Musharraf. Imran Khan who opposes Musharraf now, was the one who was the PM candidate of Musharraf. Our political leaders didnt think about the conciquences for once. Now they know not only them we all know that what happens when we give wrong duties to wrong people. Our country is at the verge of breaking down. We see High inflation and Unemployment (stagflation), shortage of food supply. Burden of taxes (Now tax on cars is also imposed) etc. These were the things which Quaid-e-Azam was seeing in his wisdom. Quaid-e-Azam ordered us all to support and serve Pakistan and it is a shame that we are supporting the people who are only here to destroy it. All we can do is wait and see what kind of politics is going to be played on us NOW! As they may look different in appreances but they are all the same inside.
May Allah (SWT) guide us and provide us true leaders. (Ameen)
First of all many felicitations on starting your own blog.
The topic that is initiated pertains to our army. Its important to understand the fundamentals before we launch ourselves in criticizing the role of army.Ever since our independence,we have remained a dubious state. We were ruled by foreigners before independence, which didn't change much even after getting freedom. This engulfed a state of suspicion amongst us.We are showed murky pictures, leading to catastrophic assumptions.
Post Independence 1947-Pakistan comes into being.Three main players.Army,Politicians & Bureaucracy.Army & Bureaucracy finds politicians to be very strong. They team up and strangle politicians.Result,We are witnessing till now.
India got independence the same time.Same players.Only Difference,Politicians & Bureaucracy team up & control Army.Result,No Army coup uptil now.No interference from military in policy making.Booming Economy.World's Richest man,Mukesh Ambani, from the same very country.America's half of silicon industry operated by India's software engineers.
Only one mistake we made, remained a decade behind.Realize this.

Wonderful seing you bringing up something of interest to us all, not only within Pakistan dear friend:-)
The role of an army has been discussed for centuries because of its great physical power and therefore latent possibility to change a political scene, and thereby also life of you and I- the civilians.
I´m not accustomed to an army with much authority in my part of the world, and I do prefer it to be that way.
For me there must be a strong divison between a government and the army.
If having too close relations unhealthy, undemocratic institutions can occur where uneducated or unskilled people and also some that don´t represent the people get more and more powerful.
Not dialogue but means of force takes over and that is a great set-back for us humans.
Always let rationality and humanity rule and let the army play a minor role in maintaining a nation´s defense.
That is my humble opinion.
Best wishes from Annemette
